Common Questions

Is it really free for kids?

Yes — 100% free. We provide all materials, facilitators, and lesson plans. There is no charge to kids, families, or the hosting organization.

How much space do you need?

We need a room with tables and chairs — a standard meeting room works great. For the Paper Airplane Launcher activity, we also need an open hallway or room to launch in.

How many kids can attend?

We recommend keeping sessions to 12–20 kids maximum for the best experience (limited spots go fast!). Larger events can be arranged with additional volunteers.

What ages are your workshops for?

Our activities are designed for ages 7–12 (roughly 2nd–6th grade). Younger kids (5–6) can participate with adult assistance. We can adjust difficulty for different age groups.

How do I schedule a workshop?

Use the contact form above, email us at thesteamteam.off@gmail.com, or DM us on Instagram @thesteamteamm. We typically respond within 48 hours and work around your schedule.

Can I volunteer even if I'm not from Wheeler High School?

Absolutely! We welcome volunteer interest from any high school student in the Cobb County area. Reach out via Instagram or email and we'll add you to the team.
